Economic Development in Generational Poverty
In our country, equality of opportunities is constitutionally established, as well as freedom of expression, sexual and reproductive rights, the protection of children and that of life. The latter, which is a fundamental right and is also contemplated in the civil code with pro-life arguments such as the protection of the life of the unborn from conception, making the respective exceptions in the 3 cases that abortion is allowed without criminal consequences . This shows that the freedom of development and autonomy of the woman's body is violated by law, and it is a task that the state must develop from public health in the prevention of pregnancy, the education of young people regarding sexuality and the contraceptive methods that exist, since, in most cases, constant contraceptive methods are those that the woman adopts to her lifestyle, such as batteries, pastes or vaccines.
Now, it is clear that in our country the rate of pregnancies in minors is skyrocketing, and the decision-making capacity is diminished in the female gender, however, the problem of pregnancy not only goes back to the ignorance presented in certain parts of the territory due to the lack of public health promotion by the state, but also the development of sexuality and inexperience in this field. These multiple pregnancies create increasingly poorer generations of the family institution, school dropouts and the need to generate income to maintain this new life are the main causes, since the law is obliged to protect the life that is underway. to get; This has led mothers to have to undergo clandestine abortions with very few guarantees of safeguarding their lives.
It is clear that I am presenting cases of unfavorable socioeconomic classes, since the families where these unwanted pregnancies occur have the economic capacity to travel to countries where abortion is decriminalized and these voluntary pregnancy interventions (IVE) are practiced, unlike of the less favored who by territorial and constitutional obligation must have their child even if the contraceptive method fails. In order to present the final concept on the economic condition that this gender inequality represents, I would like to bring up a fragment of another subject of my own authorship: “According to data collected by the Picodi analysis team in 2020, Colombia is in the ranking 90 in the average monthly salaries in the world, with a total of US $ 310; 1.15 million Colombian pesos approximately, for that same year the Colombian population was approximately 50 million people, on the other hand, according to DANE the unemployment rate for 2020 was 15.9%, in that order of ideas, the economic figures that we have in 2020, represent that on average each Colombian earns $ 1 ', 15 cop, in addition to this, 15.9% of the 50 million people who were without work and continued to earn this figure according to economic data , not counting the people who live from day to day and who according to the figures are assumed to earn the same 1.15m, the inequality that is generated in figures by the exorbitant income of these people does not allow quantitative figures to allow a in-depth study of reality in Colombia ”.
A new life implies an investment of time and money, therefore, having a baby implies an imminent change in the family economy, in the fragment that I presented I spoke about the difference of the population percentage in terms of the average monthly income, however, The relationship that it presents with the case in question is that if we follow the common thread on the birth rate in poverty, we can reflect that more and more poor Colombians are going to be born, on average in Colombia it takes 11 generations to get out of poverty, But this average could continue to grow over time, since uncontrolled births imply expenses and economic decline.
Now, the international situation gives us a broader view of this paradigm in question, since in the oldest continents such as Africa, Asia and certain European countries, various orthodox religious cultures remain in force that pose a lifestyle and condition of women in society. Southwest Asia, where the main economy is oil, are the countries with the greatest gender inequality, the violation of human rights is allowed, because women in this society do not have a fundamental role in the system, this Muslim culture also arrived to penetrate Africa in the age of slavery. It is evident that social coexistence is not favorable with the repression that women receive, since they cannot go out dressed as they want, it is not well seen that a woman wants to study or work, she must even obey her husband.
Muslim culture is transcendental in this situation, it has many branches and extensive radical lines that have fought for centuries, however, the common factor is inequality with women in terms of rights, opportunities, freedom. Therefore, it is necessary to take their voice with importance, because who better than them to express the fields where inequality is present, as happened in Argentina, the last Latin American country that has legitimized abortion, since it is the interest of the whole society to carry out changes that make it possible to establish a less unequal society.
Gender inequality is real and is interfering in the development of the nation, in the autonomy of sexual and reproductive rights and is collapsing in the Colombian economy, it is necessary to better interpret the concepts of positive discrimination and make it an effective tool in the development and evolution of the country.
Argentina has already made this progress, and in Colombia an exercise of comparative law must be carried out to legislate and contemplate new concepts that will enrich our nation in terms of rights and freedoms, the autonomous decision of the woman's body is currently permeated by concepts that do not allow the development of constitutional rights, however, this change would lead to a constitutional reform, but which is necessary to move forward. With the decrease in pregnancies in prematurely formed families, the economic growth of the population will be effective, and women will be able to fully exercise their right.
